Dialogue event of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Forestry of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt “Harvest? Of course! Plant Protection in Modern Agriculture”

On 20 November, the Committee for Agriculture, Food and Forestry of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt will be a guest at the Institute of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences at MLU Halle-Wittenberg and will hold an event entitled “State Parliament in Dialogue” as part of the event series “State Parliament in Dialogue” “Harvest? Of course! Plant Protection in Modern Agriculture” through (17:00-19:00, Room 5.10).

After a scientific keynote speech, the committee members will discuss the future of plant protection and the balance between securing yields and protecting the environment. This direct involvement in state political decision-making processes makes it possible to contribute scientific findings and practical experience directly to the formation of political opinion. All interested parties are welcome to participate in the discussion. Prior registration is not required.

The series of events underlines Saxony-Anhalt’s role as an innovation location for sustainable agriculture, with the IAEW acting as an interface between research, education and policy-making.
