22.09.2026 - 23.09.2026
09:00 - 15:00 Uhr
Von-Seckendorff-Platz 1, Halle (Saale), 06120
About half of the project is behind us – time to take stock together and look ahead. Intensive research has been carried out in the DiP joint projects, a lot has been achieved and the first results are already being processed. This is exactly where the 3rd DiP Status Seminar comes in: The focus is increasingly on transfer and the development of sustainable value chains – from the research idea to the marketable product.
To kick things off, selected DiP cross-sectional projects will exemplify the multi-layered networking in the network.
As usual, a joint project will introduce each of the three lighthouse sessions with a keynote speech; the other projects will follow with – now 10-minute – status pitches and discussion.
The program is supplemented by:
- a separate forum for the DiP business partners: stand presentations of their portfolio beyond the already known cooperations – new points of contact for all stakeholders, also with a view to the second funding phase
- Poster session
- five parallel workshops
- Get-together in the colloquium at the Heidecampus
- regional impulses from the knowledge transfer region Saalekreis and the national bioeconomy network
- a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Peter H. Seeberger (Center for the Transformation of Chemistry) as a scientific highlight
Here you can download the program.
Workshops:
When selecting workshops, we ask you to take into account that each DiP joint project is represented in as many workshops as possible if possible in order to maximize the professional exchange and the quality of results. If relocation is necessary, we will contact you in good time.
WS1 – Successfully Shaping Transfer: Strategic Thinking of Recycling Paths
Innovative research and development results raise important questions early on in the transfer process: Which recycling channels are realistic? What requirements arise from this? And what makes sense in terms of time, effort and costs?
In the workshop, we will jointly consider possible exploitation strategies and relevant regulatory issues. Among other things, this involves the classification as a medical device, cosmetic product or novel food as well as the consequences for development, approval and market potential.
Participants will receive a practical overview of regulatory requirements and reflect on which aspects for further project development should be considered at an early stage in interactive work phases.
WS2 – From Idea to Practice: The Role of Downstream Processing in Process Development
As part of the status seminar, this workshop offers a compact insight into the key role of downstream processing and highlights typical bottlenecks from ongoing projects. Based on the experiences of the participants, real issues will be analysed in interactive formats and practical solutions will be developed together. The focus is on the open exchange between research and application as well as on the identification of new technical options. A format that contributes to networking and provides targeted impulses for one’s own project work.
WS3 – Perspectives AI: Workflows and Experiences from and for Data-Driven Research
The workshop offers orientation and impulses for the use of AI methods in data-driven research. After a compact introduction to central basics, the focus is on reports from DiP projects: from research questions and data basis to preparation, model selection and training to evaluation. The articles show practical experiences, best practices and challenges along concrete workflows and provide insights into the infrastructure used in each case. The workshop will be complemented by a brief assessment of the relevance of research data management for AI-supported analyses and a joint discussion.
WS4 – Clever use of by-material flows – application-oriented solutions for resilient value chains
The workshop is aimed at stakeholders from agriculture, processing, industry and science in the DiP network. It provides an overview of how the use of side streams of plant value chains strengthens their resilience and opens up economic benefits. After a summary of the results from this year’s summer school “Scaling and Side Streams”, a representative of the abonoCARE cluster will present practical solutions. The cluster networks industry and research in order to develop viable recycling routes for wastewater, extraction residues, slags and other organic residues. Subsequently, the participants will jointly develop potentials and concrete approaches for bypass valorization in their DiP projects.
The workshop is conducted by Fraunhofer IKTS and the abonoCARE cluster.
WS5 – Introduction to Sustainability Assessment with HILCSA
The basics of the methodology and application to regional technologies and value chains are taught. Subsequently, the participants will jointly break down technologies and value chains on paper into input-output process chains, discuss data requirements, specify scaling problems and assess the impact of the value chains on the region. In a concluding discussion, aspects of sustainability assessment will be evaluated by means of a previous survey by the Helmholtz UFZ.
If you have any further questions, please contact the team of the DiP Coordination Office (info@dip-sachsen-anhalt.de).
A conference fee of 75.00 euros will be charged for participation, which will help cover the event costs.
Participation is only possible with a signed confidentiality agreement . Please send them back to us signed and sent to info@dip-sachsen-anhalt.de
