The Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) in Gatersleben, an important partner in the DiP network for the digitization of plant value chains, is advertising two positions for the interdisciplinary project “Breaking new ground and shaping it”.
The discourse project, funded by the BMFTR, combines innovative technologies in plant research with social dialogue, design and participation – an approach that is also central to the bioeconomic transformation in Saxony-Anhalt.
The advertised positions support the scientific coordination of the overall project as well as the special supervision of graduate formats and business dialogues.
We are looking for a scientific coordinator (full-time, TV-L E13, reference number 49/07/25) and a research assistant (20 hours per week, TV-L E13, reference number 50/07/25). Both positions are limited to two years and offer insight into modern science communication on topics such as genome editing, synthetic biology and AI applications in plant research.
The cooperation between the IPK and the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle illustrates the transdisciplinary approach that is also pursued in the DiP network: the combination of scientific excellence with social participation. The application deadline is September 24, 2025.
