In the current first phase of the SMART Agroforestry joint project, the model municipality of Allstedt plays a central role. Together with scientists, practitioners and visionaries, the potential of valorizing and restoring agroforestry systems was discussed – from the sustainable use of woody plants to digitization solutions and new value chains (program). With interesting excursion locations around Allstedt and at exciting thematic tables, central questions and challenges for the recording of existing field woods and the creation of agroforestry-based value chains in southern Saxony-Anhalt were discussed.

A big thank you to all guests and the project partners of MLU, Fraunhofer IMWS, Fraunhofer IKTS, GISA, DBFZ, GMBU, NW-FVA, DLG and UPM.
