The specialist portal Biooekonomie.de has put DiP-DIAMANT in the spotlight with two articles. The technical article “Making Plant Breeding Faster with Digital Precision Genomics” explains how the project at the Institute of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences at MLU Halle combines long-read sequencing, automated laboratory processes and AI-supported genome analysis – with the aim of making the development of new plant varieties much more efficient.

In addition, project manager Dr. Thomas Schmutzer gives personal insights into his research motivation, the challenges of the amount of data and the importance of genome research for structural change in Saxony-Anhalt in the interview “We are a small group with big questions”.
